Broken (138/153)

TIME: 4:35 PM
PLACE: BJC Health Care ER
SUBJECT: Broken Finger

Yep! Here we are again. July 4th was his right index finger. December 15 was the right pinkie finger. As the July was his own doing, December was the act of another. This now has finished off baseball. Looks like the season will be a wash out. Sad. Sad that the carelessness of another causes such an upsetting turn of events.

The Ornament says it best :

"Six Days Of Fun A Lifetime of Memories"

I got this ornament for Catcherdude when we went to Cooperstown in 2008 and he played in a week long tournament at the Dreamspark. He still talks about this tournament quite a bit. I am glad we had the opportunity to let him go and experience this.

Teen got all the ornaments on the tree yesterday. From the time teen was born we have always bought him an ornament every Christmas. I really have a hard time picking what would be my favorite. They all have memories attached to them. I was even thinking I might stop getting them out as if one broke, I would be heartbroken.

This one was bought for teen for his third birthday. He would had been 4.

"Your attitude is like a box of crayons that color your world. Constantly color your picture gray, and your picture will always be bleak. Try adding some bright colors to the picture by including humor, and your picture begins to lighten up."
~Allen Klein

When I need to keep my mind busy, I like to color. I have found if I lay in bed and color, it helps me keep my mind off the pain & not need as many pain pills. Day #1 following surgery.

PLACE: St. John's Surgery Center
SUBJECT: IV

So it is done.
Yet another cut.
Yet another drain.
Yet another bill.
Yet another IV.

But after trip after trip I have learned different tricks. Like this time I wrapped my hands in heated blanket. Making it easy for them to get this IV inserted. I was not stuck 1,000 times and blown veins. ;)

When I got up Monday I realized it was time to get back to the Dr. Office for what I knew would result in a trip to Surgery Center. Little did I know it would be tomorrow.

He may not know how to get this problem fixed, and fixed for good. But he is certainly good at working around our busy, crazy, schedule around this house.

This is my most favorite Scroll Saw Project my Step Dad has made. This was my Christmas present last year. I love this. The lights & little people really set it off. I left it out all year and filled the wagon part with kisses year round depending on holiday or season.
