As I was waiting for son to finish up cutting lawn, I noticed the mums were all in full bloom. I have never had good luck with mums. They never seem to return again.

Today was Conferences for XC. Basically now is when the individual achievements kick in. To move onto next weekends District Meet the runners had to come in top 14. Also the school has to rank a certain amount as well. The school today came in 2nd for Varsity and 1st for JV.

I got a chance to get out and about. We went to the Orchard and picked apples & pumpkins, well I chose to forgo the pumpkins, but apples? I am a HUGH fan of apples, Fuji apples to be precis. I LOVE Fuju apples.

I would have liked to taken pictures at the Orchard, but I didn't have camera. So next best thing was to snap this at home.

Meanwhile, I think I will make apple butter & a few other things using apples. There are more than just what is pictured. If you have a good apple recipe .. share ..

I thought this was a good picture to take, and the most perfect quote. As lately I choose to take down fences (walls) that I knew good and well needed to stay in place. Some have been there 10+ years.

I hurt many when I did this, but most importantly I hurt me the most. Time to rebuild those fences. Mend the ones that I can.
